Riding in the new year

I'm undergoing some changes in my life lately.  I've been really busy, and haven't been riding at all the last couple months.  I'm missing it, but I've been going through a divorce and moving for the fourth time in almost two years.

Next week will bring more changes.  The kids I've been taking care of after school for the past four years are getting older and the family no longer needs me.  This is my last week with them.  Although I'm sad to be leaving them, I'm also excited for all the opportunities this transition will mean: the ability to freelance full-time again, and also hopefully time to ride more often again.

With riding more being a primary goal, I've been setting up a daily schedule that will hopefully do a good job of balancing work and barn time.  I'm going to try to get out and ride three days a week, with one of those rides being on the weekend.

And of course, with my freelancing full-time again, blogging will also become a priority again, so I'm hoping you'll see many more updates here in the weeks to come.

Stay tuned -- things are about to get interesting!

Hey there! I was just thinking about you the other day and wondering what you were up to. I'm sorry about the divorce and all the moving. Hopefully, the future will bring you new opportunities on how to spend your time.

I can't believe I didn't see your comment until now! So sorry, NM!

Obviously, with so much time having passed, I'm quite a bit more settled now. And the loose strings after the divorce are slowly getting tied up. I'll post more on it later.
