Future barn cat

Well, not really — Prince is an indoor cat. But he looked so cute sleeping in the sun by the back door that I had to find a tie-in for the picture.
I keep my cats indoors now because about eight years ago, when this one was young, I almost lost him. I decided then that I couldn't risk something happening to him, and started keeping him indoors. Prince is deaf as a post and rather special, if you know what I mean — not retarded-special, but utterly clueless. He's also loyal, uniquely quirky, and of course gorgeous.
What other four-leggeds do you have, besides horses?

Cute cat! We have a dog (German Shepherd) and three cats - all indoor like yours - we lost too many to cars - one is an orange marble with white (found under a dumpster as a tiny kitten), one is a grey tabby (adopted feral kitten) and the third is a beautiful caramel/brown marble with long hair and a big fluffy tail - her brother is our barn cat Bob - same cat but tailless! Our daughter also has a guinea pig, who is very sweet.
Kate, you have a full house just like us! We have two cats -- the other is a black medium-haired female -- and two dogs -- an American white shepherd, and a Mastiff mix that looks like she probably is also part Rhodesian. The white cat came from a shelter 10 years ago, and the black cat I inherited from my neighbors a couple years later when they moved and didn't want to take her with them. The Mastiff mix came from a Mastiff rescue as a puppy, and the white shepherd -- our most recent addition, at 2 years ago -- my brother-in-law rescued after her previous owners chained her underneath a trailer and left her to die.
We also had a hamster for a while that we found in our backyard, of all places, but he died about a year and a half ago.
My sister always had guinea pigs growing up, by the way, and they are so much fun! I'm not much of a small animal person but I still miss them sometimes.
By the way, the Bob thing cracks me up: The barn cat where my horse is currently stabled is also named Bob. He's a small tabby, though, so very different from your Bob.
