Panama and Cuervo

I've blogged before about Panama's best friend on the in-laws' pasture, a donkey named Cuervo. I finally got a chance to make a video honoring their relationship. The video clips and pictures were all taken early one morning in March 2006.

Last year my brother-in-law sold Cuervo. I wish I could have taken him, but not having my own horse property, it's a risk — finding boarding for a horse and a donkey could be difficult, and I've always said I'll never sacrifice the quality of Panama's care in order to get another horse (or donkey). But I still sometimes regret not taking Cuervo!

Oooh, I like your blog signature at the end of the video. What software did you use? I saw on an Internet site that someone local is selling a bunch of donkeys. I've got enough trouble, but man, they are cute.

Thanks! I used Windows Movie Maker. The signature is just a title page with the animation called "overlapping transparent titles" or something like that.

I'm going to have to find a different software to use if I want to keep making movies, though. These videos were taken a while ago on my husband's camera. The camera I have now takes videos in QuickTime, and Windows Movie Maker doesn't recognize that type of file.

OMG!!! I am laughing so hard! What a great video and the music is perfect! Those two are having a ball! So sad that the little donkey is gone, they were having a grand time playing! Gilly and Pokey don't play quite that hard but they do have a great time together!
LOVE it!

Thanks, Jane! They are adorable together, aren't they? I could find out where Cuervo is, and I've thought of going to visit him -- his new owners had told my brother-in-law he was welcome to. He's nearby. Who knows, maybe in a couple of years we'll have horse property and I'll be able to reunite Panama with his old buddy! It's a dream of mine, anyway, and I hope someday I'll be able to make it come true.

Oh, I hope you get to buy him at some point too. That would be great for both of them! Sending out good vibes for you finding the property of your dreams!
