Spring snowstorm update

Three and a half hours later, this has turned to this:

Colorado blizzard

Boy am I glad I blanketed Panama!

I called the barn owner a few minutes ago, and he had put all the horses in the barn with some hay to keep them happy. They don't have water in there, though, so he can't keep them in there long before he has to turn them loose again. Still, with the whiteout and all, I'm sure they are content to be inside!

Yup, you can't even see the street now. May as well curl up with a hot cup of joe or cocoa.

I had to cancel today's lunch break walk for the horses because a neighbor had a tree trimming truck with a huge crane and wood chipper on the street. Fortunately, with all the stampedes that the truck caused, there were no leg injuries this time. I'm at a point where I'm ready to sue the next big truck that turns around in my driveway, despite the PRIVATE DRIVE - PLEASE STAY OUT sign, and leaves me with a $500 vet bill due to one of my horses getting injured in a stampede.

Oh, I did! I read most of the afternoon and some of the evening... It felt SOOOOO good!

As for the big truck, stampede, and $500 vet bill... Did that really happen to you? I haven't been reading your blog long enough to know, apparently...
